- Download the EA files and save them to a folder for easy access. Make sure the EA file is in .algo format.
- Open cTrader and locate the “Automate” menu on the left-hand side of the platform.
- In the “Automate” menu, you’ll see a list of installed robots, usually populated by sample EAs.
- To add a new robot, double-click on the downloaded .algo file. Choose to open the file with cTrader if prompted. This action will install all necessary files in cTrader.
- The expert advisor will now appear in the “Automate” window list, and you’ll receive confirmation of its successful installation as a notification.
- Click on the “+” button and select a chart to which you want to add the EA.
- Activate the robot by clicking on the play button. It will start running and perform its functions as the market conditions dictate.
- To remove the EA from your chart, click on the three-dot menu on the EA, hover over “remove instance,” and select the chart from which you want to remove it.
