One essential feature of MT5 is the ability to view their trade history. Analyzing your past trades can provide valuable insights into your trading performance, helping you make better decisions in the future. In this article, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of accessing and viewing your trade history in MT5.
To access your trade history, first, launch your MT5 trading platform and log into your trading account. Once the platform is open, locate the “Toolbox” window at the bottom of the screen. If the terminal is not visible, you can enable it by pressing “Ctrl + T” on your keyboard or navigating to the “View” menu and selecting “Toolbox.”
Within the “Terminal” window, you’ll find several tabs at the bottom. Click on the “History” tab to view your trade history. This tab displays a list of all the closed trades associated with your trading account.
Once you click on the “History” tab, you’ll see a list of your closed trades, including important details such as the trade’s entry and exit points, trade duration, trade size, profit or loss, and the date and time the trade was closed. By default, the trades will be displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent trade appearing at the top.
MT5 allows you to customize the display of your trade history to suit your preferences. You can change the order of the trades, apply filters based on various criteria like time range or instrument, and export the trade history to a spreadsheet for further analysis. Additionally, you can modify the columns displayed to include or exclude specific information. All of these options can be accessed by right clicking within the window and selecting/deselecting the column variables.
