Simon Botherway is set to become the independent chair of brokerage firm BlackBull Markets after acquiring a stake in the company. Additionally, Milford Private Equity Fund III LP has also obtained a shareholding, leading to the appointment of Brooke Bone, an investment director in Milford Funds’ private markets team, to the BlackBull Markets board.
Botherway, who previously served as the chair of the Financial Markets Authority establishment board and as the guardian of the NZ Super Fund, expressed admiration for BlackBull Markets’ achievements thus far. He stated his confidence in the company’s potential for significant growth both locally and internationally. Botherway eagerly anticipates joining the BlackBull Markets board to assist the company in its next phase of expansion.
